Where do you build?
Our service area is generally within a 65 mile radius of our “home base” in Fargo, North Dakota with a focus in the greater Fargo-Moorhead region as well as the lakes region of Ottertail and Becker counties in Minnesota.
Do you have available lots/sites for my new home?
Check with us at the time you are actively looking for a site as our inventory/availability varies seasonally and based on market offerings. Although we don’t maintain a large inventory of lots, we are happy to help you explore options and ultimately secure the perfect location for your dream home.
Can you build on a lot I already own?
Absolutely!
Should I hire an architect?
Radiant Homes does not offer in-house architectural services. Rather, we partner with the region’s premier architects and designers to create a home designed specifically for the life you’re building. We believe that creating the best home you could imagine starts with assembling the right team. Your investment in good design will pay dividends throughout the life of the structure in the forms of both function and beauty. Don’t worry; we can guide and assist you throughout the design process to streamline and simplify the experience as well as ensure accountability to project parameters and goals.
What if I already have architectural plans for my home?
Great! We are happy to work with the plans you have and guide you through the process of bringing them to life.
Should I hire an interior designer?
Radiant Homes does not offer in-house interior design services. Again, it’s all about assembling the right team (see above about hiring an architect)! It’s not mandatory to have an interior designer. However, most of our clients find immense value in bringing an interior designer onto the project team. An interior designer catches the architect’s vision and, more importantly, YOUR vision and helps weave a cohesive aesthetic with practical functionality while delivering on the design intent. We guide and manage the interior design process to streamline and simplify the experience as well as ensure accountability to project parameters and goals.

How is the project financed?
Most of our clients secure their own construction financing. Need financing options, recommendations, or want to learn more about how construction financing works? Contact us!
How long does the building process take?
As with budget, there are many factors that affect a construction timeline including size, finishes, complexity…and YOU! However, our average timeline for new construction is 12 months. Renovation timelines are much more project-specific and should be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Should I renovate or build new?
We get this question all the time! Maybe you have the perfect setting at the lake but the home needs serious work, and you are trying to decide cost versus value in renovating OR tearing it down and starting over. Maybe you’re trying to decide between building a new home on a lovely lot in town OR purchasing a charming home in the perfect neighborhood that just needs some updates. What is the overall best value? What would it take to get exactly what you want? We are well-versed in navigating the conditions that impact these decisions and helping to weigh the options.
